The call for entries is now open for the Belarusian Competition of the 11th edition of the Northern Lights Film Festival

This year, we are looking for new films made by Belarusians in 2024–2025, in any country and in any genre — documentary, fiction, hybrid, animation, short or feature-length.

Please note: If your film is selected, English subtitles will be required, and you will also need to provide all necessary materials by the given deadline.

Why should you apply?

We offer your film a real audience — during the festival, your work will be seen by viewers online and possibly at offline screenings across various European cities. It’s not just a chance to share your film, but also a way to introduce yourself, showcase your talent, and reach a broader public. The competition will also be judged by a professional international jury.

We are interested in both experienced directors and those just beginning their journey in cinema. We believe every story matters, and every voice deserves to be heard.

We will respond to everyone who submits an application. Please be patient — the selection process takes time. You can expect to receive a response around mid-September.

To submit your film, please complete the form below by August 31, 2025.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact us via social media or email us at support@northernlightsff.com.
