Jury's comment
There in the steam of life we experience such a subtle and beautiful story about possibilities of love and caring between men. A film about the unsaid, elegantly shot in a heated sauna with moody shadows on the wall and impressionistic sweaty close-ups with branches waving rhythmically. As a viewer, you can sense the deep understanding and tension of the characters and the environment of the film. Impressively intimate short film with a fresh whiff. The best short film goes to Sauna Day.

Jury's comment
The film brilliantly conveys emotions with a well-structured narrative that allows the audience to connect with the protagonist’s feelings through the visual storytelling, while text plays only a supporting role. The main character’s portrayal of a neurodivergent individual is exceptional, allowing viewers to grasp her uniqueness from the very first moments. Tension builds as her actions provoke social judgment, adding layers of drama. This is a perfect example of short film craftsmanship, filled with vivid emotions and masterfully executed visual expression. Special mention goes to Intrusion by Gunnur Martinsdóttir Schlüter.

Jury's comment
The complexities and frustrations of a man looking for love and human connection in a world that does not accommodate uncommon people were masterfully interpreted and brought to life in a very believable way. A Special mention for the Best Actor goes to Jan Gunnar Røise in Norwegian Offspring.
