Fiction
Irishwoman Meghan throws a fun bachelorette party for her younger sister, where she falls in love with Lithuanian stripper Mykolas—right after an intense video call with her husband. Israeli Galia researches her family tree, uncovering some sensitive details about her grandfather, while her husband Issa tries to work remotely but gets distracted by the loud sounds of sex from the neighbors. Self-absorbed Hungarian DJ Filip (Geza Röhrig from the Oscar-winning "Son of Saul") has a toxic phone conversation with his ex-girlfriend. Stripper Mykolas tries to impress his arrogant lover Jonas, but their date quickly goes awry. All these diverse yet equally melancholic stories of romantic failures and destructive passions are united by the setting—an Airbnb apartment in the center of Vilnius. In the film, the flat almost feels like a separate, silent character, voyeuristically watching everything; a vessel literally cracking under the weight of the poured-out human disappointments, which are wiped away at the end of each story by the weary cleaner named Jolanta.
